Squares

Too many squares. Everywhere I look there are squares or rectangles, which are nothing more than bastardized squares. Sure, I'll concede that the occasional circle, triangle, or more complex polygon crops up, but it's clear to me that our society is obsessed with squares. We have a fetish with right angles. The two other classes of angles are acute, as in an acute pain, and obtuse, as in stupid. How blatant can we be? Whence does this exclusive love for ninety-degree angles originate? Long are the hours that I have pondered this question, and I've come to the conclusion that the answer has something to do with milk, although I'm not quite sure how or why.
