Note: Another heart-breaking defeat. The Weasels offense was less powerful than usual, producing no home runs or triples. Neil, Nathan, and Matt each got a double, and Cory got two. Nathan struggled with his control in the first two innings, which combined with some defensive errors made by the team, put the Weasels in a hole to start the game. However, Nathan calmed down and threw what seemed to be exclusively strikes for the rest of the game. And the Weasels as a team tried to battle back. Tammy got an awesome 2 RBI hit with two outs and the bases loaded, which brought the score from 12-7 to 12-9. Time was very low when the final inning began. The score was 14-10. Mitch led off the inning with a walk, and Carrie took the automatic walk. Neil doubled, scoring Mitch. 14-11. Brandy grounded out to the pitcher for the first out, and then Cory walked, scoring Carrie. 14-12. Crystal took the automatic walk after Cory, loading the bases. Matt hit a sacrifice fly to right field for the second out, but Neil was able to score. Cory and Crystal were able to advance on an overthrow in from the outfield. 14-13. Alas, the rally ended there, with Tammy grounding out to the pitcher. This was another game that the Weasels should have won, but found a way to lose.
