Rushmore is an amazing movie! It was written by Wes Anderson and Owen Wilson, directed by Wes Anderson, and features the acting of Jason Schwartzman, Bill Murray and Olivia Williams. It is Jason's first film, but he did an excellent job. If you haven't seen this movie, then I urge you to go see it. Often. Also, if you haven't seen Bottle Rocket (another Anderson/Wilson film), then you ought to see it too.

What is Rushmore about? I can't begin to answer that question. I could describe the plot, but the movie is much more than that. It is the interaction between the characters, and the glimpses you get of their minds and lives. I know that anything I write here won't do the movie justice.

Here are some photos taken on the weekend of Friday, February 5, 1999. The Rushmore bus tour came through Austin. My friend Josh and I are big fans of Wes Anderson and the Wilson clan, so we spent a couple of hours at the bus tour. While there we met up with my friend Erik. Later that evening we saw Rushmore (the third time for Josh and I, the first for Erik) at the Arbor 7. Wes and Jason were present for part of the movie. Here are some photos from that weekend, including some that were taken just to use up the rest of the film in the camera:
